ESPN has finally announced the availability of the first HD channel on the network: ESPN HD.
ESPN HD, which will be available for both existing subscribers and those who upgrade to the network later, will offer more than 60 hours of live content, as well as a massive catalog of ESPN content from its cable and satellite partners.
According to the announcement, “The most significant change is the addition of an HD-delivered subscription package that allows ESPN HD subscribers to watch ESPN HD content and live events with up to 60 hours per month.
For current subscribers, this new HD package includes ESPN HD, ESPN HD Live, ESPN Plus, ESPN On Demand, and ESPN Game Plan, and additional HD content packages are available for existing subscribers who wish to stream their favorite content.”
There’s no word on when the new HD channel will launch, but you can sign up for the ESPN HD channel right now to see if it’s worth your $20 a month.
