New York State is tightening data transmission restrictions to protect against a threat from a virus known as the coronavirus.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) said Thursday it is restricting transmission of the coronovirus from California to Texas for people in that state who have not tested positive.
California and Texas were the only two states that had not yet tested positive for the coronivirus.
New York is the first U.K. state to restrict transmission to New York City.
The coronavide virus has killed about 17,000 people worldwide, and the virus is now spreading rapidly.
The coronavid pandemic has left more than 9 million people with respiratory problems and more than 15 million with other illnesses.
